Package From US

Last week a new package was delivered to us from the US. The package came from my Tita Aida who works and already lived in California for almost 10 years now and she never forgets to send various gifts for my whole family, especially for me. I remember my Tita Aida would always tell me that I'm the only niece she have that writes to her since she left the Philippines. I really miss my Tita a lot and hopefully she'll be able to come back here in the Philippines to visit us.

Anyway, here are the new sets of gifts she sent to us.

Important Things To Do Today

I have lots of things to do today and I don't know which I shoul do first. I have a long list of things to do but I'm quite confused which should go first. I'm actually preparing important documents like my resume, endorsement letter, clearances, and a lot more papers because I'm going to apply for work at Philhealth today. My cousin already works there and she told me I could apply anytime but of course I need to submit all the needed requirements, most especially the endorsement letter so that I'll be considered for a certain job. Right now, I'm updating my resume, making my application letter and waiting for the endorsement letter from my brother's friend. After that, I'm going to secure my cedula and renewal of my NBI clearance, as well as photocopy of my grades and my TIN ID.

Whew!

And then, I'm going to print a 2x2 picture which I need to paste in my resume and then if everything else is on my hand, I will immediately submit it to Philhealth and then wait for their call. I wish, my application will likely be considered. If that happens, I will file a resignation from my current job. I would prefer working in a government office.

I have a work today at 2pm but since it's strike I can't go to the office. I don't want to pay a large amount of money for a fare to ride a trike going to our office as well as going home from work. You know, these trike drivers would take advantage of the situation. Because of that I'm here at home blogging as usual and updating my facebook and friendster account. So tomorrow, I'll be working from 6 in the morning up to 2 in the afternoon and maybe if there are lots of things to do at the office, I might extend up to 6 in the evening or most probably 10pm. That would be 16 hours of work. Hmm, a big payout but lots of stress to cope with.

Finding A New Job

I'm looking for a new job right now. I've been thinking about resigning from my current job for several reasons. We had our summer outing today at Villa Acosta Resort in Sto. Domingo, Albay and I can say it was really so much fun for all of us. Summer Outing

I'm really excited for tomorrow because we're going to have a summer outing, company summer outing at Villa Costa. Back To Work

I'm finally back to work now after the long vacation. The holy week went well and I did had enough time to spent with my family as well as praying and asking forgivness for all my sins. I had a great Easter Sunday at the beach with my whole family and our neighboors. Well, I'm just really happy. That's all I can say.

Today, I'm back to work. I'll miss bonding with my daughter every afternoon. And of course, I'll miss blogging and updating my facebook and friendster account.

Easter Sunday Swimming

We're all ready to have so much fun today. It's Easter Sunday and the plan is to go swimming at the beach of course. The kids are really super excited especially my little Zoe who keeps on reminding me her 2-pc swimsuit since the other day. I'm also excited because I really want to unwind and take off all my stress. I'm not going to swim because you know, I don't want to get dark, hahaha! Plans For Tomorrow

My whole family will go as well as our closest neighboors, most of them are the friends of my hubby who are also my friends.

Location: Jazz resort at Bacacay.
Time: as early as 8 or 9 in the morning; we'll leave by 5 in the afternoon
Food: the barkada has a contribution 150 per head and the oldies will just bring any food they want
Menu: (included in the 150 contribution)
- "ihaw" Tilapia, Pork, Chicken, Eggplant, and Hotdogs
- lots of rice, each family brings their own rice cookers
- softdrinks and gallons of water
- 2 kinds bicol express, one that is really spicy and one that is not so spicy
- "gulay na natong" - super duper spicy
- ponkan and singkamas
- ensalada
- 2 kinds of pansit, one from the restaurant and one is home-made pancit bato

Bye for now, I'm going to prepare the things we're going to bring. (oh no, not to forget Zoe's bathing suit). We'll go to the market first to buy pork and vegetables. The fish will be bought tomorrow, the one in charge is my hubby and two of his friends.

The Procession

These are the pictures of the saints, Papa Jesus, Mama Mary and others during the procession. Unfortunately some of them were not that clear and unluckily my cam got low bat during the procession so I wasn't able to capture some of the floats. Anyway, Chantal was super amazed because the last time she was able to saw such procession was two years ago because last year we were in Sorsogon. And this time she was able to appreciate them and kept on telling me how beautiful the floats were.

Santa Maria Salome

Our neighboor is taking care of Santa Maria Salome - I'm sorry I don't know anything about her but I promise to research some information about her. And yesterday from around 8am from the time we woke up until around 11 in the evening there are lost of people all around our neighboor because there are lots of people watching Maria Salome's float should I say, the flower arrangement and more importantly what she's going to wear. People from different places come by to take a photo or even a video of Maria Salome, and I've noticed a lot of kids were really amazed by looking at her, a life sized figure. I remember my childhood days when my dad would take me and my brother all around Legazpi City to check out every float we can find. Hmm, those days were really special.

Early Morning Blogging

Good morning everyone! My clock says it's 12:20 in the morning now. I can't sleep yet because I'm waiting for my hubby who is with his friends having some drinking session and planning our beach getaway by Sunday this week. Well, right now I'm blogging, I've just finished uploading pictures in facebook, and I'm also browsing home based jobs. My back is aching so hard already, I just hate this chair I'm using. Anyway, I think I won't be able to wait for my hubby anymore, I'm going to sleep 10 to 15 minutes from now. I'll be blogging again later today or maybe tomorrow or by next week. Oh no, not by Thursday, Friday, and Saturday because Jesus is still dead, you know what I mean. Happy Holy Week everyone. Enjoy your vacation at the same time, but don't ever forget to pray and ask forgiveness for all the wrong doings we made.

Pasalubong For Zoe

Today is payday and as promised, I will buy my daughter a petite halo halo from Chowking with one scoop of ice cream. It's her ultimate favorite at the moment. She just love the latest advertisement of Chowking's halo halo that she really did craved for it so much. Last Sunday, we already went to Chowking just to be able to have halo halo as what she requested and just after few days, she wants to have halo halo again. And she's not stopping there, she wants to have halo halo again by next week. It was her lola who promised to treat her next week. Of course, she was very, very happy and super excited about it along with an hour of play at the Playground.

And so, as soon as I arrived home today at around past 3pm I wake up my daughter and surprised her with the halo halo. She hurriedly get up from bed and kiss me many times and hug me so tight to show she was surprised and thankful of what I brought her as promised. Well, she had a really nice afternoon.

Movie Time - Knowing

There is a pattern to predicting the future.

It's holiday today and my hubby has no work so we planned to watch a new movie of Nicolas Cage, Knowing. It's a really nice movie to watch. Well, it talks about the end of the world by means of sun storm. There are numbers that were analyzed that links to tragedies inlcuding the number of people killed, etc. Well, you have to really watch the movie to further understand what I'm saying here.

Here's the part of the synopsis of the movie:

The film opens in Lexington, Massachusetts in 1959, where a competition is held among the students of a new elementary school to celebrate its opening. The winning plan, from student Lucinda Embry, a seemingly mental disorder/mentally disturbed girl, is to bury a time capsule containing the students' drawings of the future to be opened 50 years later in 2009. She is prevented from finishing her image, which is actually a series of seemingly random numbers, and goes missing during the ceremony. Her teacher later finds her in a gym closet, frantically scratching the remaining numbers into the door. Fifty years later, the time capsule is opened and the pictures are handed down to the new generation of students. Caleb, the son of MIT professor and astrophysics|astrophysicist John Koestler, receives Lucinda's envelope. Initially dismissing them as random numbers, John notices a single random number sequence, 911012996, which contains the date of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks|World Trade Center attacks as well as the death toll of the attack. Further research leads John to realise the numbers are a list contain the dates and death tolls of every major disaster, natural and man made, that has happened over the past 50 years, with three that have not occurred yet. When a commercial plane crash kills 81, the legitimacy of the list of numbers is confirmed and leading John to believe that Lucinda had an ability to prognosticate since childhood until she died. It is also revealed through this incident that the numbers contain the coordinates for every event listed. As his wife died in one of the past events, John starts to believe his son was chosen to get Lucinda's prophecies. After Caleb receives a vision of future global catastrophe from a silent man, John tries to contact the late Lucinda's daughter, Diana, to gain more information, but is rebuffed. But when John also predicts the second event, a subway train crash, Diana and her daughter, Abby, visit John and Caleb, and Diana reveals that her mother foretold of the date of her death would be on October 19th, which is also within the list. They investigate Lucinda's old mobile home in the woods, discovering walls of news clippings of the events and a drawing of Merkabah|Ezekiel's Wheel. During their investigation, the group encounters the silent man and three others, who vanish in a flash of light protruded from the man's mouth when John confronts them. Later Caleb is found writing numbers very similar to the ones that Lucinda wrote without realizing what he is doing. This may suggest that those numbers are predictions for future events. As a result of the confrontation, Abby is revealed to have been contacted by the "whisper people". Initially believing that the last event will kill only 33, John eventually re-examines the numbers after Diana's mention on how her mother used to write numbers and letters backward. He discovers that the final digits are not "33", but actually "EE" written backwards; the final event is a massive solar flare that will kill "Everyone Else." As Diana prepares to travel to a system of caves she believes will save them, John breaks into the school to steal the door Lucinda scratched the numbers on. At his house, he begins to scrape the paint off the door, but Diana refuses to wait for him, and leaves with the kids. As the solar flare approaches, it begins to disrupt cell phone signals, preventing John from contacting Diana. She is finally able to contact John through a gas station pay phone, and he tells her that the final numbers are the coordinates of her mother's house, which he believes is safe, while the caves won't protect them from the solar flare's radiation. When panic erupts at the gas station following the government's activation of the national Emergency Alert System and announcement of the solar flare, two of the whisper people hijack Diana's car with the two children. Giving chase in another car, Diana is hit by a truck trying to run a red light, dying exactly at midnight, on the very day her mother predicted. Arriving back at Lucinda's mobile home, John discovers the children are safe and comfortable in the presence of the whisper people. The whisper people are revealed to be celestial angel-like beings who invite the children to escape the destruction "to help everyone start over". At first, Caleb is very reluctant to go when his father is not invited to come along; John successfully persuades him to go, saying that they will be together again eventually. The whisper people leave Earth on their ship, a massive structure resembling Ezekiel's Wheel, as other ships also depart Earth. As anarchy reigns in New York City and Boston John arrives to be with his parents and sister just as the solar flare strikes Earth and incinerates all life on the planet. Caleb and Abby are dropped off on an Earth-like planet with at least two moons as the other ships drop off their passengers. The movie ends as the two children, dressed in white, run toward a large white tree, possibly being the fabled Tree of Life.

Sunday Date

Today is Sunday and good thing the rain has already stop pouring down by around one o'clock in the afternoon. As planned, Zoe, me, and my Mom are going to attend Sunday mass at 3pm today and after we'll have snack at the mall, Zoe will play at the Playground for an hour while me and my Mom go window shopping. We don't have a lot of money to spare at the moment so we'll just have some window shopping. Well, I had bought a scissor because I need it at home particularly in our kitchen because our scissor got broken the other day. I also bought my hubby three different kinds of crossword puzzle. Solving crossword puzzles is sort of our new bonding time thing. So that's it, we arrived home today at around 6:30 pm and here I am blogging.

Oh my gosh, it's another raindy day. It's summer but it's raining so hard. Well, it's been raining since yesterday and the other day - I don't remember anymore because I keep on taking a nap to get some rest and gain more energy after being sick for more than a week. I'm missing my Mom, I wish she's here to cook for me again. Well, she did promise to cook another favorite of mine by next week, Adobong Amaplaya. Yummy! I can't wait for the next week to come.

It's summer here in the Philippines, but for the past few days, it has been raining so hard.
